MarathonMama Training Tips and Plans


MarathonMama provides training plans for regular people, that regular people can understand. If you don't know what intervals or fartleks are, or don't know how to determine 85% of maximum ability or what your MP (that's Marathon Pace) is, then we think the plans here might be for you. MarathonMama's training plans provide you with solid guidelines that you can use to train for your specific event, based on your own fitness level. These are not devised by Olympic Track coaches, but by MarathonMama and her running friends based on their own experiences and frustrations in trying to follow a lot of the plans out there. MarathonMama intends to work with people who plan to run their events and has devised training plans to help you achieve your goals. The plans presented are not walk/run plans, and if you prefer a walk/run program, the Galloway plan is probably the best out there for you. (These are presented for informational purposes only, and you are advised to seek the advice of a physician prior to embarking on any new training regimine.)
